Wilder Nature

Rewilding in practice

Making nature in the Nordic Taiga wilder is about giving existing species and natural processes more room to shape the landscape. That is why our work focuses on restoring ecological dynamics in forests, rivers, and wetlands. When nature’s own processes are given more space, keystone species can once again fulfil their ecological roles, and ecosystems can become stronger, richer, and more self-sustaining.

“Nature´s strength lies in its complexity. Rich wildlife with high functional impact requires a diverse mix of habitats and extensive blue-green connectivity.

In degraded areas where nature alone can´t restore this balance,
Rewilding Sweden intervenes – supporting recovery in forests, wetlands, and rivers what we call waterscapes.”
